Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
Be a Delaware resident.
Be a high school senior, planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Demonstrate involvement in projects or organizations focused on one or more of the following areas:
•Environmental conservation / Litter abatement.
•Recycling and waste reduction.
•Community beautification.
•Literacy or educational initiatives tied to environmental awareness.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
Application Form (name, contact information, school information).
Essay (500–750 words): Prompt: What actions have you taken, projects have you worked on, and/or organizations have you been involved in that have contributed to beautification, recycling, literacy, or conservation in Delaware? Be specific about the project and explain why it was important to you.
(Optional) Letter of Recommendation: From a teacher, mentor, or community leader who can speak to the applicant’s dedication to environmental or community work.
Portfolio/Supporting Documents: Photos, reports, or other materials showcasing the applicant’s projects.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
Impact: Measurable results or benefits of the applicant’s contributions to Delaware’s environment or communities.
Commitment: Demonstrated passion for environmental stewardship and community service.
Clarity and Creativity: Quality of the essay and supporting materials.
Award Details
•Scholarship Amount: $1,000
•Number of Awards: 1
•Funds can be used for tuition, fees, or educational expenses.
